Jambo Jambo Year Six

Jambo Jambo is an African greeting song. Year Six devised this clever arrangement which layers in percussion and vocals. Listen to our Year Six 'watoto'!

Funge Alafia Year Three

Funge Alafia

Year Three have done a stellar job learning to perform this Ghanaian greeting song. The lyrics are:

Funge alafia,
Asche, asche.
Funge alafia,
Asche, asche.

The translation is 'I greet you with my head' (I respect you), 'I greet you with my heart' (I care for you) and 'I have nothing up my sleeves' (I'm not going to harm you).

Year One and Two Singing

What makes a lot of noise, flails its arms and legs about, pokes out its tongue and salutes whilst being accompanied by Mr Young on the piano?

Why, it's our Year One and Two singers, of course!

Led by Mrs Burt each Thursday, children in Year One and Two have lots of fun finding their singing voices and moving to the music. Our favourite song to date would have to be the Penguin Song. Find a Year One or Two student and I'm sure they will be quick to demonstrate!
